Annex No.8 – Distributed Trees
Invalid date
One of the activities of the project is to promote the native tree planting at the ten schools and surrounding barangay. Promoting native trees plays a significant role as this will help forest restoration and mitigate the impact of climate change especially at this moment. Table 1, represents the no. of trees (native and fruit) that had been distributed to ten schools while the Table 2, represents the trees that we distributed to the schools including the scientific and local name of the trees distributed.
Table 1, shows the number of assorted trees that was distributed to the ten schools, either it was native or fruit bearing trees. Some schools received a greater number of trees because of its location and the wide area of their schools. As each school was different from one another, though other schools choose their respective home as their biodiversity reserved, thus it was being monitored by the student.
Some schools were able to conduct tree planting such as the Taloot Integrated School, Bulasa National Highschool, Hilario P. Davide Sr. National High School and Mandilikit National Highschool while other were still waiting for the right time to plant. Taloot had a different biodiversity area among other schools since they plant the trees in the respective home of the students while other schools had their biodiversity reserved inside the school premises.
