Empowering communities for a safer future through the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Olympics year 2024 with a theme of “Monument of Youth and the Unity in the Goal of Preparedness” held from October 1-4 at Bayawan, Negros Oriental. It was participated by 20 Divisions across Region 7, and one of the activities was the regional climate change caravan which, Mr. William Granert- from SWCF, as the speaker and presenting the “Youth Hands on biodiversity conservation and management to participants. Highlighting the climate change and the further actions that we could do as to mitigate the problems. DRRM Olympics participated by different students across region 7 consists of 2 or 3 participants from elementary and senior high level. Moreover, it tests their abilities as they played different games such as: snake and ladder, emergency cooking, water bucket relay, first aid kit relay, and master of disaster.
